165. Hospital Reception Sketch

Pilot G-Tec C4 pen
in Handbook Travelogue Journal, 5" x 5"

My view yesterday while visiting the hospital and sitting in Costa having a lovely cup of English Breakfast tea. The design of the place intrigued me from the  diagonal panels in the foreground roof to the funky angles (both horizontal and vertical)  around the edges of the reception area and I could not resist sketching it. I was perplexed though as to why it was so difficult to draw my usual freehand straight lines but realised later that it may have been due to having had a needle put in my arm earlier.

  1. Needles - yuck. Wouldn't know it, though. Nice sketch!

    1. Thank you, Chris
Yes, they can be unpleasant. :)

  2. A great sketch and it shows that every opportunity is a sketch in the making. xxx
