278. Collage for '30 in 30' Challenge - September 2016

Collage for '30 in 30' Challenge,
September 2016

Well done everyone who took part! Some managed to do 30 paintings; some of us only did a few - I managed 17 but well done one and all as it may be 17 pieces of artwork that may not have happened otherwise. My thanks to everyone who has supported me along the way and, ultimately, huge thanks to Leslie Saeta for putting on another great challenge - thank you!!!

117. Collage for '30 in 30' Challenge - January 2015

Collage of Paintings using Paul Cezanne's Paintings as My Theme

Well, here's mine folks and I'm already seeing some beauties appearing on Leslie's blog and in my bloglist.

May I say a huge 'thank you' to Leslie Saeta for setting this challenge again, to all my friends (virtual and physical) who have supported me along the way and, last but not least, to the master himself - Monsieur Paul Cezanne. I have learned so much about colour by copying these paintings and changing each one to B&W to check the tonal values has been a total revelation!

Congratulations and well done to everyone who participated. Have a good weekend and happy painting! xx

71. Collage for '30 in 30' Challenge - January 2014

Collage of original oil paintings

Well here it is, my friends. Work, hospital and other things meant that I only managed 15 - I omitted the 'Eggs' work-in-progress (No. 64) as, small-scale, it looked too similar to the final piece. However, I actually did four times the amount I managed back in September and each one is an original so I'm happy.

I've just had a look at the other collages that are starting to appear on Leslie's blog and they are fabulous! Well done everyone, it's been great.

Happy February - I hope and pray we can all keep creating.  xx

44. Workshop Project

Watercolour on cartridge paper, A4 sketchbook

I only had time to attend a third of Christine's workshop on Saturday.  The plan was to layer images and make collages using dried leaves together with gel and impasto mediums.  The end results were really interesting but, as I wasn't around for the full day, I just painted straight into my sketchbook, using flat images but following one of the shape structures she gave us.

42. Collage for September 30x30

Ah well, I managed two full paintings and a few sketched underpaintings.  Thank you, Leslie; I might not have done any artwork had it not been for your challenge.

Well done everyone else who painted anything at all.

23. Collage: My 20 of the '30x30' Challenge

Leslie Saeta asked us to compile a collage of all the work we had submitted to the '30x30' challenge - it's a really good idea.  I created this using Photoshop Elements.

Once again, thank you Leslie and thanks also to all my fellow artists who have inspired and encouraged me.  Happy February!
