Pilot G-Tec C4 and
Caran d'Ache Neocolour II
in Handbook Travelogue Journal, 5" x 5" (x2)
Started this before work then came home late and very tired so it has become overworked. If it were a painting, I probably would not have posted but it's in my sketchbook so here it is. I promise to do better tomorrow!
Thanks for sharing, even if you didn't love it - I hate doing that, but in reality, we all have those off moments and it is encouraging to others to share them.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a lovely drawing, BTW!
Rolina, I am hugely grateful for and encouraged by your comment. Thank you for such kind words; my bosses often remind us that we are not seeking to be perfectionists, rather we are to pursue excellence!
DeleteLove the shine on the bowl and I agree it is a beautiful drawing. Its that search for perfection that keeps us going, be proud Sharon. xxx
ReplyDeleteDear Az, thank you. It's a fine line, isn't it. You'll see my response to Rolina and, yes I guess the search for perfection is slightly different to striving to be a perfectionist, which is intimidating to others. I am so grateful to the two of you for your kind comments and for helping me to see things correctly. Again, two great examples of how artists support and uplift one another. Thank you.
DeleteI was trying to find what you thought was wrong with this. The gerber daisy is lovely and the bowl is sturdy, reflective, with a neat spoon and what reminds me of my oatmeal with fruit? I think it is a successful, fully developed sketch.
