I found this lovely landscape painting and loved it so much I decided to do a copy using soft pastels. I've had to do it over several days due to work commitments, etc, but have thoroughly enjoyed copying an Impressionist master. It's a great way to learn.
and some work in progress images…
Sisley - you have good taste! And you did a beautiful job!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Chris; however, I got the name of the artist wrong - for shame! It was done by the modern Impressionist painter, Edward Seago. Please excuse my mistake.
DeleteBeautifully done !!! Love the soft effect on the clouds and foreground! Sisley is one of my favourite impressionists.
ReplyDeleteThank you Azra. It was by Edward Seago - apologies for the mistake!
DeleteSeago - now you have VERY good taste!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks, Chris. I'm glad you admire his work too. I might do another of his - his work is beautiful.
DeleteGreat job and I enjoyed the process shots very much.
